Job Description
Epic Orders Analyst provides application support, build, testing, and optimization of Epic Orders workflows within the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF)
Key Responsibilities
- Build & Configuration: Manage Epic Orders workflows, including CPOE (Computerized Provider Order Entry), order sets, protocols, preference lists, and clinical decision support.
- Clinical Collaboration: Partner with physicians, nurses, and pharmacists to translate clinical requirements into technical system functionality.
- System Maintenance: Lead testing, integrated validation, and change management processes.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve high-level issues escalated through ServiceNow and participate in the on-call support rotation.
- Integration: Coordinate with other module analysts (Clin Doc, Willow, Beaker, Radiant, etc.) to ensure seamless interoperability.
- Compliance: Ensure all orders management meets CMS, Joint Commission, and NC state regulatory standards.
Technical Focus Areas
- CPOE & Order Sets: Building complex clinical pathways.
- Ancillary Integration: Lab, Radiology, Dietary, and Therapy workflows.
- Decision Support: Implementing safety checks and clinical alerts.
- Interoperability: Cross-module coordination with HIM, Security, and Pharmacy.
