Overview
System One is partnering with a stable organization in East Tulsa seeking a tenured Infrastructure Engineer for their technical team. This individual will work within on premise and virtual technologies to help manage the company''s technical infrastructure. Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer working with technologies such as VMware, Azure, SAN technologies, and Ruckus switches and endpoints. This is a full-time, on-site, direct hire opportunity offering a competitive annual salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage server, storage, and network infrastructure in virtualized (VMWare) and cloud environments.
- Manage VMware (vCenter), physical servers, and SAN storage effectively.
- Maintain Windows server environment and core services, monitor system performance, reliability, and capacity.
- Collaborate with a small IT team to support all infrastructure aspects, share knowledge, document systems, and participate in IT projects.
- Administer network infrastructure including switches, access points, firewalls, and troubleshoot issues across multiple locations.
- Support endpoint protection, firewall management, vulnerability assessments, security audits, and incident response to maintain a secure environment.
- Administer backup systems, perform recovery testing, and contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Support Azure workloads and Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange, licensing, and access management.
- Assist help desk with escalated or complex end-user issues, ensuring clear and professional communication across office and manufacturing environments.
Requirements - Strong knowledge of VMWare virtualization architecture, SAN technologies, Azure cloud platform, Ruckus switches and wireless access points.
- Thorough understanding of Azure Active Directory (Entra), M365, and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with security patching and vulnerability management tools.
- Strong knowledge of Windows server operating systems 2012R2 to 2025.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a customer service-oriented attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills; experience with backup management systems and disaster recovery planning preferred.
- Data warehouse and Power BI report writing experience is a plus.
