PHP Developer

Description

We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer who will play a pivotal part in modernizing legacy systems and ensuring compatibility with updated technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud migration efforts and streamline application functionality.

Responsibilities:

Upgrade PHP codebases to ensure compatibility with the latest versions, addressing deprecated functions, libraries, and syntax.

Test and validate applications and services to prevent disruptions during migration efforts.

Optimize and stabilize custom services, including PDF generation, thumbnail creation, and alerting functionalities.

Collaborate with Linux engineers to implement containerization strategies.

Validate APIs and web services to ensure seamless functionality post-migration.

Support the consolidation of multiple sites into a unified system.

Assist in designing cloud storage solutions for large-scale data migration.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application and database compatibility.

Work on upgrading systems such as Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.

Ensure all applications and databases remain operational and compatible throughout the migration process.

Requirements

Proven experience with PHP development, including upgrading and maintaining legacy codebases.
Proficiency in working with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
Strong understanding of API development and validation processes.
Familiarity with Linux systems and containerization concepts.
Ability to test and troubleshoot applications effectively to ensure stability.
Experience with cloud migration processes and designing storage solutions.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work within cross-functional teams.
