Position Description for Integration Engineer:
We are seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to design, build, and manage enterprise integrations using the Workato middleware platform. This role will be responsible for connecting and orchestrating data across critical business systems including Workday, Rhumbix, ServiceTitan, and COINS ERP.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in data transformation, mapping, and pipeline management, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and scalable data flows across systems.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Development, build, and maintain integrations using Workato recipes, APIs, and event-driven workflows.
Develop scalable integration patterns (real-time, batch, and hybrid) across enterprise systems
Implement reusable connectors and standardized integration frameworks
Collaborate with enterprise architecture to align integrations with long-term platform strategy
Data Management & Transformation
Perform data mapping, normalization, and transformation between source and destination systems
Clean, validate, and curate incoming data to ensure accuracy and consistency
Design and implement data batching strategies for efficient large-volume processing
Manage schema alignment across systems (HR, finance, project, time tracking, IoT data)
System Integration Scope
Workday (HR, payroll, employee master data)
Rhumbix (time tracking, labor data)
COINS ERP (job cost, financials, cost codes)
ServiceTitan (service operations, dispatch, billing)
Samsara (fleet, equipment telemetry, GPS data)
Data Pipeline & Reliability
Build and maintain robust data pipelines with error handling, retry logic, and idempotency
Monitor integrations for performance, failures, and data integrity issues
Implement logging, alerting, and exception handling frameworks
Ensure data reconciliation between systems
Governance & Best Practices
Establish data standards, naming conventions, and mapping documentation
Maintain version control and CI/CD practices for integration deployments
Support master data governance initiatives
Ensure security, compliance, and access controls across integrations
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in integration engineering / middleware platforms
Hands-on experience with Workato (recipes, connectors, APIs, orchestration)
Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architecture
Experience with data transformation, mapping, and ETL processes
Solid understanding of enterprise systems integration (ERP, HCM, field systems)
Experience handling batch processing and high-volume data pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating with Workday, COINS ERP, ServiceTitan, Rhumbix, or Samsara
Familiarity with Azure Integration Services (APIM, Service Bus) or similar platforms
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (star schema, bronze/silver/gold layers)
Experience with logging/monitoring tools and observability frameworks
