Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Selenium-based test automation and strong functional testing fundamentals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and building scalable automation frameworks from scratch, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and collaborating closely with cross-functional Agile teams.

This role requires strong analytical skills, ownership mindset, CI/CD integration experience, and backend/API validation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios and test cases.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.

• Build and enhance automation frameworks (Data-driven, Hybrid, or BDD).

• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, and System Testing.

• Conduct API testing (manual & automation using Postman/RestAssured).

• Perform backend validation using SQL queries.

• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions).

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives).

• Conduct defect tracking, root cause analysis, and impact analysis.

• Provide quality metrics, test coverage analysis, and reporting.

• Own end-to-end testing for assigned features/modules.

Required Skills & Experience (7+ Years)

• 7+ years of QA / Software Testing experience.

• 7+ years hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.

• Strong automation scripting in Java (preferred) / C# / Python.

• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.

• Experience with:

  • TestNG / JUnit / NUnit

  • Maven / Gradle

  • Git

• CI/CD integration experience (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

• API Testing (Postman, RestAssured).

• Strong SQL knowledge for backend validation.

• Solid understanding of:

  • Test planning & strategy

  • Boundary value & equivalence partitioning

  • Regression strategy

  • Risk-based testing

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum.

• Ability to independently own testing for a feature/module.
