Summary

Job/Position Summary

Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture & Modernization

  • Define end to end cloud architectures for remote diagnostics and troubleshooting platforms spanning device, cloud, and enterprise systems
  • Lead the modernization of legacy, stateful systems toward stateless, API driven architectures
  • Establish architectural principles for scalability, modularity, and long term maintainability

Remote Diagnostics & Platform Integration

  • Architect a unified remote diagnostics and troubleshooting ecosystem by integrating existing platforms and enterprise applications
  • Define integration patterns using REST APIs, asynchronous callbacks, and event driven mechanisms
  • Enable seamless orchestration across diagnostics services, analytics platforms, and enterprise backends

Diagnostics Workflow Enablement

  • Design platform level architecture to support:
  • Advanced remote troubleshooting workflows
  • Automated diagnostics and orchestration flows
  • Consistent service oriented interaction models
  • Ensure architecture supports non disruptive evolution of diagnostic capabilities over time

Cloud to Device & IoT Communication

  • Define architectures for cloud to device communication using IoT and messaging based patterns
  • Support use cases such as:
    • Remote diagnostics initiation
    • Device state synchronization
    • Asynchronous command and response flows
  • Enable scalable device onboarding and interaction models suitable for large fleets

Scalability, Reliability & Observability

  • Design architectures capable of supporting high volume, distributed deployments
  • Define patterns for:
    • Horizontal scalability
    • High availability and resiliency
    • Monitoring, logging, and operational visibility
  • Ensure diagnostic platforms meet expected performance and responsiveness requirements

Cloud Platform Leadership

  • Architect cloud solutions using AWS and/or Azure, including:
    • API and microservices platforms
    • Messaging and streaming frameworks
    • Cloud native data and integration services
  • Define reference architectures using:
    • Containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Cloud native deployment and scaling mechanisms

Stakeholder & Architecture Governance

  • Act as a technical authority for cloud and platform architecture discussions
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and platform teams to translate requirements into architectural solutions
  • Create and maintain architecture artifacts such as:
    • System context diagrams
    • Logical and physical architecture views
    • Integration and interaction flows

Requirements:

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12-15+ years of professional experience, with strong focus on cloud and distributed systems architecture
  • Proven experience designing remote diagnostics, connected systems, or IoT based platforms
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Stateless API based architectures
    • Microservices and event driven systems
    • IoT or messaging based communication models
  • Experience integrating legacy systems into modern cloud platforms
  • Hands on architecture experience with AWS and/or Azure
  • Strong ability to communicate architectural concepts to diverse technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem solving mindset
  • Clear communication and architecture storytelling skills
  • Ability to balance technical, operational, and scalability trade offs
  • Comfortable working across cross functional and globally distributed teams

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to service oriented diagnostic architectures
  • Experience with remote operations or lifecycle support platforms
  • Familiarity with enterprise aftersales, service tools, or fleet platforms
  • Experience supporting multi region or large scale deployments
