Job Description –
10+ years of overall IT experience with strong healthcare domain expertise.
5+ years of hands-on experience with HL7 FHIR (R4 preferred) and healthcare interoperability standards.
Proven experience implementing and architecting solutions using AWS HealthLake.
Strong knowledge of:
SMART-on-FHIR
HL7 v2, CDA/CCD, X12
US Core Profiles and FHIR Implementation Guides
Healthcare terminologies (SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, CPT, RxNorm)
Expertise in AWS services including:
HealthLake
Lambda
API Gateway
S3
Glue
Athena
Step Functions
EventBridge
IAM and KMS
Experience designing HIPAA-compliant healthcare solutions.
Strong background in healthcare data integration, FHIR data modeling, and API architecture.
Experience integrating with EHR/EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of payer-provider interoperability, population health, risk adjustment, or value-based care is a plus.
Responsibilities
Architect and implement enterprise healthcare solutions using AWS HealthLake.
Design and govern FHIR-based interoperability frameworks.
Lead healthcare data ingestion, transformation, and integration initiatives.
Define security, compliance, and governance standards.
Collaborate with business, clinical, and engineering stakeholders.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship on AWS healthcare services and FHIR best practices.
Preferred Certifications
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
HL7 FHIR Certification
Relevant AWS Healthcare certifications
Candidates with strong hands-on AWS HealthLake implementation experience and deep expertise in healthcare interoperability and FHIR architecture.
