Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Siemens OpCenter Functional Consultant / Principal Engineer to serve as the functional domain expert for Siemens Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) OpCenter EXDS Logistics. This role will bridge business requirements with system capabilities to optimize inbound/outbound logistics, warehouse management, and inventory operations within a manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will lead process mapping, backlog management, implementation guidance, and stakeholder collaboration while ensuring successful end-user adoption through training and change management initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Siemens OpCenter / Camstar (preferably EXDS Logistics)
- Expertise in MES/LES environments
- Experience with inbound/outbound logistics processes
- Warehouse management and inventory control experience
- Product backlog management using Jira
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience
- Strong stakeholder communication and business-IT liaison experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in MES/LES environments
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens OpCenter (preferably EXDS)
- Proven expertise in logistics operations including:
- Inbound and outbound logistics
- Warehouse management
- Inventory control
- Experience building and managing product backlogs
- Ability to write detailed user stories and functional specifications
- Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens OpCenter EXDS Logistics module in automotive or battery manufacturing
- Exposure to Logistics Execution Systems (LES)
- SAFe or Scrum certification
- Knowledge of Toyota Production System (TPS) and Lean logistics principles
Roles & Responsibilities
- Act as the primary functional domain expert for Siemens MOM OpCenter EXDS Logistics
- Lead process mapping workshops with manufacturing and logistics stakeholders
- Identify process gaps and translate business requirements into functional specifications
- Provide implementation guidance based on Siemens OpCenter EXDS capabilities
- Build, maintain, and prioritize Jira product backlogs, epics, and user stories
- Partner with business stakeholders to prioritize initiatives based on operational impact and feasibility
- Serve as the key liaison between business users, IT teams, and development teams
- Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Stay current with Siemens OpCenter EXDS capabilities and MES/LES industry trends
- Drive end-user adoption through training, documentation, and hands-on coaching
