Position Overview

The State of Michigan is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to design, develop, integrate, and maintain customizable Salesforce solutions for the Michigan Enterprise Contact Center team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Salesforce development experience, expertise in Service Cloud and Experience Cloud, and experience with Salesforce integrations, CI/CD, and application lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and define technical requirements with customers, end users, architects, and business stakeholders.

• Ensure technical solutions align with customer requirements, performance goals, security standards, and long-term strategy.

• Own Salesforce release cycles, deployments, and application updates.

• Provide technical leadership for project environments.

• Establish and maintain development standards and guidelines.

• Collaborate with developers across other systems to support enterprise integrations.

• Ensure solutions comply with State of Michigan security guidelines.

• Design and document technical architecture solutions across multiple platforms.

• Identify technical risks and issues and recommend solutions.

• Develop training plans to support transition to Maintenance & Operations.

• Manage Salesforce technical change and release management processes.

Salesforce Development

• Develop solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Apex Triggers, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).

• Work extensively with Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.

• Participate in all phases of Salesforce lifecycle implementations.

• Configure Salesforce solutions using Flows, Process Builders, Workflow Rules, and other no-code capabilities.

• Develop Batch Apex and Scheduled Apex solutions.

• Support Salesforce data migrations, data quality initiatives, system integrations, third-party applications, and AppExchange products.

• Integrate Salesforce with cloud and on-premises applications using REST APIs and custom APIs.

• Implement authentication and integration solutions using OAuth and SSO.

• Support migration from Salesforce Classic to Lightning.

• Support migration of legacy Visualforce portals to Digital Experience Sites.

DevOps & Integration

• Support SFDX development, branching, merging, and code deployment.

• Use Azure DevOps for CI/CD and release management.

• Work with REST/SOAP, JSON, XML, HTML5, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Design and implement secure, high-performance Salesforce architecture.

• Support end-to-end technical delivery across Salesforce platforms and integrations.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of Salesforce development experience.

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce SFDX and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle.

• 4+ years of development using Apex, Visualforce, LWC, Aura, HTML5, and JavaScript.

• 5+ years of experience with Salesforce Service Cloud.

• 5+ years of experience with Salesforce Digital Experience Sites / Experience Cloud.

• Strong experience migrating Salesforce Classic to Lightning.

• Experience migrating legacy Visualforce portals to Digital Experience Sites.

• 5+ years of experience with GoMeddo Scheduling customization or equivalent scheduling products.

• 5+ years of experience with Conga Composer.

• 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce Lightning experience, including LWC.

• Experience with API integrations and authentication technologies such as OAuth/SSO.

• Strong communication, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.

• Salesforce Experience Cloud Certification.

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.

• Salesforce Certified Administrator.

• Experience with Health Cloud.

• Experience using Azure DevOps or similar tools for requirements tracking, CI/CD, and release management.

• Experience with data migration and cloud integration projects.

• Familiarity with government processes, compliance requirements, and FedRAMP-compliant environments.
