Position Overview The GIS Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) within the organization. This role involves leading a team of GIS analysts and developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality spatial data solutions, and supporting business operations with advanced geospatial insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor GIS professionals, assign tasks, and ensure timely project delivery.

• Manage end-to-end GIS projects including requirements gathering, system design, data integration, and deployment.

• Oversee collection, validation, and maintenance of spatial datasets ensuring accuracy and consistency.

• Design and implement GIS applications, tools, and workflows to support organizational needs.

• Provide spatial analysis, mapping, and visualization to support decision-making across departments.

• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business teams to integrate GIS solutions into enterprise systems.

• Stay updated with emerging GIS technologies, tools, and industry best practices to enhance system capabilities.

• Establish standards and protocols for GIS data and application development.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, or related field.

• 7+ years of experience in GIS with at least 2 3 years in a leadership role.

• Telecom domain experience is a must.

• Strong expertise in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo, etc.) and spatial databases (PostGIS, Oracle Spatial).

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or JavaScript for GIS automation and customization.

• Experience with cloud-based GIS platforms and web mapping technologies.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise GIS integration with ERP/CRM systems.

• Knowledge of remote sensing, GPS technologies, and geospatial data standards.

• IQGeo experience is good to have.

• Certification in GIS or project management (e.g., GISP, PMP).
