Job Description

PURPOSE

In this role, you will be a key member of the Deer Creek Manufacturing Engineering Team. The team focuses on providing best-in-class solutions for a variety of manufacturing challenges in the aerospace industry. The team works with automated systems that incorporate robots, HMIs, SCADA systems, VFDs, PLCs, and other complex electro/mechanical controls equipment.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Programming of ABB/FANUC industrial robots via teach pendant or simulator
  • Troubleshooting industrial robotic cell issues
  • Write and submit documentation for capital project funding
  • Project management of robotic equipment procurement for production needs
  • Responsible for the specification of custom robotic equipment when needed
  • Develop and adhere to project timetables and budgets
  • Provide after-installation equipment support and improvement
  • Create project presentation content for engineering management
  • Create and maintain accurate robotic software development change logs (SDCLs)
  • Work directly with multiple teams to successfully achieve varied goals
  • Assist other PCC engineering teams on solving equipment-based product problems
  • Use math and statistical information to prove and model plans
  • Work closely with and favorably represent PCC with customers and suppliers

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum B.S. in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field
  • Minimum 1 years of related work experience
  • Minimum 1 years of project management experience
  • Logical and analytic approach to problem solving
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ABB Robot Studio or FANUC Roboguide programming
  • Experience with Cognex, FANUC or other machine vision tools
  • Understanding of electro-mechanical controls hardware
  • Experience procuring or working with robotic systems
  • Experience managing project timelines and budgets
  • Knowledge of ISO 13849-2, ISO 15066, ISO 12100
  • Experience designing safety rated (SIL) electrical circuits
  • Knowledge heavy industrial manufacturing equipment
  • Experience supervising other engineers and/or technicians
