Summary: Infrastructure Engineer role focused on supporting Managed File Transfer, SFTP, servers, VMs, networking, security, monitoring, patching, and production infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, maintain, and support internal infrastructure systems, including servers, VMs, storage, networking, firewalls, and file transfer platforms
  • Monitor production systems and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, application, and file transfer issues
  • Support Managed File Transfer and SFTP environments, including transfer failures, connectivity issues, access issues, and performance concerns
  • Perform regular system maintenance, including OS/application patching, application updates, generic ID reviews, and performance monitoring
  • Follow formal change management, incident response, testing, and production support procedures
  • Document incidents, problems, service requests, system changes, support processes, and technical procedures
  • Develop and maintain best practices, operational runbooks, support documentation, and system knowledge articles
  • Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, risk assessments, and contingency planning
  • Provide supporting documentation and evidence for internal and external audits
  • Participate in vendor evaluations, recommendations, and infrastructure improvement discussions
  • Provide occasional after-hours emergency support and weekend maintenance coverage as needed
