Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Workforce Planning Data Director, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Transition
Lead the workforce planning and analytics function following a key team member's departure
Manage a minimum 3?month transition period, with potential to extend to 6 months to fully stabilize the team and processes
Provide strategic direction, ensuring continuity while enabling future transformation
Workforce Planning and People Analytics
Oversee workforce planning processes across the enterprise, guiding headcount strategy, forecasting, and organizational design
Build and enhance people analytics capabilities that support data-driven decisions on performance, effectiveness, and talent health
Develop metrics and measurement frameworks that define what success looks like for workforce initiatives
AI Readiness and Performance Management
Partner directly with AI/data teams to prepare the organization for AI integration into workforce-related programs
Support chapters focused on getting teams AI-ready
Contribute to building AI-enabled performance management practices, including tools that support evaluations, mid-year prompts, and predictive analytics
Business Partnership
Serve as a key advisor to the business, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership on workforce trends and priorities
Support Wealth Management and other lines of business with workforce cost analysis and financial planning
Collaborate across HR, Finance, Operations, and Technology to ensure alignment and execution of workforce plans
Data and Metrics Ownership
Own the design, enhancement, and reporting of metrics tied to HR effectiveness, workforce health, capacity modeling, and team cost structures
Ensure accuracy and integrity of workforce data in collaboration with HRIS and data engineering partners
Technology and Tools
Leverage HRIS technology-preferably Workday-to manage, track, and visualize workforce data
Partner with technology teams to ensure data pipelines and dashboards support business needs
Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience in workforce planning, HR analytics, financial services analytics, or related HR strategy roles
Proven experience working directly with business leaders as a strategic advisor
Strong background in metrics, measurement, and people analytics with the ability to translate data into action
Experience in financial services or similarly regulated industries
Hands-on experience with Workday or comparable HRIS systems
Executive communication and stakeholder management
Analytical and data-driven problem-solving
Strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution
Ability to operate in ambiguity and lead through transition
Strong partnership and influencing skills
HR, finance, and data fluency
Preferred Qualifications:
Workforce planning expertise across forecasting, modeling, and organizational design
Strong HR metrics and measurement capabilities, including the ability to assess and articulate effectiveness
Partnering experience with AI, data, or technology teams on readiness initiatives
Understanding of workforce cost modeling and business case development
Ability to build frameworks for mid-year performance prompts, success measures, and performance indicators
The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $165,000 or the hourly equivalent.
