ServiceNow Developer

Location: US Remote - travel to Pittsburgh, PA once per week or every two weeks

We are urgently seeking an experienced ServiceNow Administrator / Developer to support a ServiceNow implementation project for a financial services customer.

This is a 100% hands-on technical role requiring someone who can lead development of the customer's ServiceNow platform while remaining heavily involved in administration, development, integrations, automation, and platform upgrades.

The successful candidate must be US-based and able to travel periodically to the customer site in Pittsburgh.

Key Responsibilities

• ServiceNow platform administration, configuration, maintenance, security and troubleshooting


• Hands-on development using JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes and Glide APIs


• Develop and maintain Service Catalog, Catalog Items, Record Producers and Variable Sets


• Build workflows and automation using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub


• Configure Employee Center, Service Portal, UI Builder and Workspaces


• Design and deliver enterprise integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, SAML, MID Server, Import Sets and Transform Maps


• Support ServiceNow platform upgrades and releases


• Administer and maintain CMDB/CSDM


• Work directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions


• Follow ServiceNow best practices with a configuration-before-customization approach

Integration Experience

Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise platforms such as:

• Microsoft Azure / Entra ID


• Active Directory


• Microsoft Teams / Exchange Online


• Jira


• Salesforce


• SAP


• Workday


• Monitoring platforms


• SailPoint - advantageous

Required Experience

• 5+ years ServiceNow administration


• 3+ years ServiceNow development


• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)


• Strong JavaScript and ServiceNow development skills


• Strong Flow Designer and IntegrationHub experience


• Enterprise integration experience


• Multiple successful ServiceNow upgrades


• Strong understanding of ITSM, CMDB/CSDM and Service Catalog


• Experience with Incident, Request, Change, Problem, Knowledge and Asset Management


• Experience working directly with business/customer stakeholders
