ServiceNow CMDB Analyst

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a ServiceNow CMDB Analyst for an onsite role in Brooklyn, NY or within the 5 boroughs to support configuration management and data center migration initiatives. This role focuses on CMDB data integrity, discovery validation, and dependency mapping to ensure accurate representation of infrastructure components across enterprise environments.

MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• 1 2 years of experience with ServiceNow CMDB administration or configuration
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB architecture, including CI classes, relationships, and data models
• Familiarity with ServiceNow Discovery, including MID Server, probes, sensors, and patterns
• Understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, network devices, and application tiers
• Experience performing data audits and reconciliation between discovered data and CMDB records
• Basic understanding of dependency mapping and infrastructure topology
• Familiarity with ITIL concepts related to Configuration Management
• Experience conducting data validation or audit activities in an ITSM environment
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure concepts (physical and virtual environments)

SCOPE OF SERVICES

• Audit and validate existing CMDB records, including servers, storage, network devices, and applications
• Map and document dependencies between infrastructure components to ensure accurate topology representation
• Validate discovered data against CMDB records and resolve discrepancies
• Configure and support automated discovery processes for post-migration validation
• Ensure all Configuration Items (CIs) accurately reflect the new data center environment following migration
• Support ongoing CMDB data quality initiatives, including reconciliation and normalization efforts
• Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to maintain CMDB accuracy and completeness
• Assist in establishing and maintaining CMDB governance and best practices
