Role: Performance Engineer w/Database Tuning
Location: Onsite in Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of proven hands-on experience in Performance engineering with some exposure to SAP or similar packaged products/DBs
Strong experience in DB Performance tuning and engineering.
In-depth knowledge of performance-tuning SQL queries and stored procedures
Experience in doing in-depth Root Cause Analysis to identify performance bottlenecks
Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, Perl, ABAP, Java, and C++.
Expertise in performance testing tools, including LoadRunner Enterprise, Apache JMeter, SoapUI, and Postman.
Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis, visualization, end-to-end performance evaluation, and root cause analysis.
Experience working with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and RESTful APIs.
Proficient in using application performance monitoring tools, such as Dynatrace and AppDynamics.
Skilled in using various profiling tools to efficiently identify performance bottlenecks.
Good to have Skills:
Expertise in performance assessment and optimization of complex applications built on the SAP HANA.
Understanding of SAP BTP components such as API Management (APIM), SAP Integration Suite, Conversational AI (CAI), Data Intelligence (SAP DI), and AWS storage services.
Expertise in application and database performance monitoring in SAP, HANA DB cockpit, and SAP BTP cockpit.
Strong understanding of relational databases and in-memory databases.
Solid understanding of Algorithms and Big-O notation.
Experience with code management using Git.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
