Senior Cyber Security Technologist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Technologist. This is a remote, part-time consulting opportunity for a senior-level security professional looking to leverage their expertise in a flexible engagement.

Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cyber Security Technologist with deep expertise in Palo Alto security technologies to support a high-availability enterprise environment. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced network security solutions while providing expert-level troubleshooting and operational support.

Responsibilities include configuring security policies, managing threat prevention controls, supporting secure remote access, and performing detailed network traffic analysis to identify and resolve complex security and connectivity issues. You will also be responsible for firewall administration, security policy design, remote access solutions, threat prevention, and advanced network troubleshooting.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 7-15 years of cybersecurity and network security experience
* Extensive experience with Palo Alto NGFW, Panorama, and GlobalProtect
* Strong background in security policy management and configuration
* Expertise in traffic analysis, packet captures, and troubleshooting with Wireshark
* Experience implementing URL Filtering, Threat Prevention, NAT, and SSL Decryption
* Ability to work independently in a highly available, fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
