Product Manager / Senior Business Analysts with experience working with Municipal Finance business.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager / Senior Business Analyst to support our clients within the Municipal Finance business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Municipal Finance/Public Finance, Fixed Income, and Capital Markets, and will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams.
The resource will be responsible for understanding complex municipal-finance business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, defining product capabilities, managing backlogs, and working closely with technology teams through implementation and delivery.
Direct experience with municipal bonds, municipal securities, public finance transactions, fixed income, or municipal capital markets is highly relevant.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Municipal Finance business stakeholders, SMEs, technology teams, and senior management to understand business objectives and requirements.
- Gather, analyze, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
- Translate complex Municipal Finance and Capital Markets processes into clear technology requirements.
- Develop and maintain Product roadmaps, Product backlogs, User stories, Acceptance criteria, Business requirements documents, Functional specifications
- Work closely with developers, architects, QA, data teams, and other technology stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
- Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, workshops, process-mapping sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and root-cause analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, operational efficiency, data quality, and technology solutions.
- Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate UAT activities, including test scenarios, business validation, defect triage, and sign-off.
- Track dependencies, risks, issues, and impediments through resolution.
- Communicate project/product status, risks, requirements, and delivery updates to business and technology leadership.
- Ensure solutions align with applicable Capital Markets, regulatory, operational, and business requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Senior Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role.
- Strong experience within Capital Markets / Financial Services.
- Strong understanding of business analysis and product management practices.
- Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technology solutions.
- Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and BRDs/FRDs.
- Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams.
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
- Experience working with senior business stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into technology requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
