Job Description:
QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
Certified network professional accreditation, Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Duties and Responsibilities: Installing network hardware components and cables. Configuring network software. Identifying and eliminating bottlenecks to ensure long-term network efficiency. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with the network. Ensuring the network operates securely.
We are looking for a skilled Network Technician to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure and systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network devices, connectivity issues, monitoring tools, and basic network security. The candidate will work closely with IT teams to ensure reliable and secure network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network equipment including routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance, connectivity, and availability.
• Diagnose and resolve LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and network connectivity issues.
• Configure and maintain TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN connections.
• Perform network cabling, patching, and equipment installation as required.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and inventory records.
• Assist with network upgrades, expansions, migrations, and infrastructure projects.
• Monitor network alerts and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
• Perform routine network maintenance and preventive troubleshooting.
• Work with vendors and service providers to resolve network and connectivity issues.
• Follow IT security policies and network administration standards.
• Provide technical support to users for network-related issues.
• Escalate complex network problems to senior network engineers or administrators.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and network changes.
Required Qualifications:
• 2–5 years of experience in network support, network administration, or a related IT role.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and TCP/IP protocols.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience troubleshooting network connectivity and performance issues.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Basic understanding of network security concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, or similar networking equipment.
• Experience with network monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of cloud networking concepts such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with ITIL and IT service management processes.
• Experience with network documentation and configuration management.
