Systems Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a Systems Engineer.

REQUIREMENTS:
* AWS Certification a plus
* Experience managing technology environment stability and availability
* Knowledge of ITIL practices
* Knowledge of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and principles
* Experience with Agile software development methodologies, delivery projects, and implementation
* Knowledge of basic networking (ping, traceroute, DNS, routing) (F5 or AVI experience a plus)
* Experience with search and analytics engines (Splunk, ELK)
* Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
* Experience with workflow design, data analysis, and requirements identification/specification
* Experience with cloud-based technologies including SaaS solutions for cloud providers
* Proven hands-on experience with container orchestration, preferably with Kubernetes
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated technologies
* Proficient with PowerShell and Python scripting for automation
* Proficient with a programming language (JavaScript, nodejs, Java)
* Experience production support systems (Service Now, Udeploy, Jenkins, etc.)
* Demonstrate creative and abstract thinking
* Experience with docker, cloud-computing/cloud services platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.)
* Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
* Positive relationship management and facilitation skills
* Strong analytical and/or project management skills required
* Ability to provide 24x7 support for the production environments
* Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
