We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst with strong Quality Assurance and Azure DevOps expertise to support complex technology initiatives. This role involves leading requirements gathering, improving business processes, supporting testing strategies, and ensuring high-quality software delivery in Agile environments.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA teams to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions while ensuring traceability and successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis Leadership
Lead requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops
Translate business needs into functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and data mapping documents
Perform impact and gap analysis for enhancements and new initiatives
Act as liaison between business, development, and QA teams
Mentor junior analysts
Azure DevOps & Agile Delivery
Manage backlogs, user stories, tasks, and defects in Azure DevOps
Collaborate on sprint planning and backlog prioritization
Ensure end-to-end traceability using DevOps tools
Track sprint progress, testing status, and defect metrics
Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, grooming)
Quality Assurance & Testing
Define and review test strategies, plans, and test cases
Support functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing
Manage defect lifecycle and ensure timely resolution
Ensure proper test coverage and quality standards
Validate that solutions meet business and compliance requirements
Process Improvement
Identify and recommend process and system improvements
Suggest automation and technology enhancements
Support change management and adoption strategies
Documentation & Communication
Maintain workflows, business rules, and system documentation
Present findings and updates to stakeholders
Ensure clear communication between business and technical teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field
7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (boards, backlogs, work items)
Strong QA/testing experience and UAT coordination
Deep understanding of SDLC and Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
Expertise in user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in large-scale Agile environments
Knowledge of SQL, APIs, and data integration
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management
