Advanced QA Consultant

Location: Columbia, SC

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

Employment Type: Contract

Interview Mode: One round, Virtual/Online.

Compliance: Candidates must be current SC residents or willing to relocate to SC at their own expense prior to starting. Requires Criminal, Credit, and E-Verify background checks.

Test Lifecycle Management: Develop test plans, QA processes, and UAT scenarios for product management and development teams.

Specialized Testing: Implement testing programs including negative testing, usability testing, and regression analysis for software stability.

Security & Optimization: Lead projects to perform quality assessments that expose security vulnerabilities and identify areas for system optimization.

Automation & Scripting: Design and execute automated testing scripts with oversight for deployment across multiple projects.

Defect Tracking: Maintain databases of product defects and functional improvements, coordinating with engineers to maximize system performance.

Reporting: Create quality assurance documentation and publish status reports detailing open issues and gaps for development teams.

Governance: Adhere to and recommend improvements for software testing governance policies and best practices.

Requirement Translation: 3+ years translating complex business requirements or healthcare policy documentation into actionable test cases and scenarios.

IBM C ram: 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically testing IBM C ram software.

Communication: Proven ability to articulate technical gaps to development teams and publish detailed status reports.

System Integration: Experience building test cases into enterprise-level test systems.

Enterprise Systems: 5+ years of experience with large-scale enterprise or e-business systems.

Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of healthcare operations and business processes, specifically Medicaid.

Tools: Proficiency in the Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence.

Methodologies: Prior experience working in both standard Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile delivery environments.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field (Relevant years of experience can substitute for formal education)
