Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 36+ month contract opportunity. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite. The selected candidate will be responsible for architecture activities and decisions for a suite of related applications within the Payments domain, designing and building high throughput, low latency applications using microservices and cloud-native principles.
Responsibilities: - Take a product from inception through requirements, design, development, implementation readiness, and maintenance
- Perform trade-off analysis between scalability, security, resiliency, and availability in designing distributed systems by applying domain expertise, practical experiments and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Ensure adherence to architecture governance processes and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Provide technical leadership across a broad scale of tools, technologies, and architecture models
- Manage multiple development designs and projects concurrently to meet required timelines
Requirements: - Deep understanding of DDD, distributed systems design, integration patterns, microservices architecture, Cloud native, and UML
- Demonstrable experience designing and building high throughput, low latency applications using microservices, containers, distributed databases, and Kafka
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform or other Cloud Service Provider

Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour
