Role: ServiceNow App Engine Developer

Certifications:
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Mandatory
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Preferred
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Preferred



Role Description:
6–10+ years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on ServiceNow development.
Experience in designing and developing custom-scoped applications from scratch on ServiceNow.
Strong expertise in JavaScript and ServiceNow APIs.
Hands-on experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts.
Experience working with ACLs, Data Policies, and UI Actions.
Strong knowledge of Flow Designer and Workflows.
Deep understanding of App Engine Studio and upgrade-safe development patterns.
Experience with UI Builder, Workspaces, Service Portal, or Next Experience.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and client-side scripting concepts.
 
Integration and Technical Skills:
Design and implement REST and SOAP integrations with enterprise systems such as IAM, HR, Finance, Risk, and Monitoring tools.
Hands-on experience with IntegrationHub, Spokes, and MID Server for secure data exchange.
Experience handling imports, transforms, error handling, retries, and logging.
 
Additional Responsibilities:
Define and enforce development standards, naming conventions, and reusable frameworks.
Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Experience implementing security using roles, ACLs, and scoped access controls.
 
Certifications:
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Mandatory
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Preferred
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Preferred
 
Additional Skills:
Reinsurance domain experience is a plus
PL/SQL knowledge is preferred
