Duties
Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to enhance their shopping experience.
Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling.
Follow all age-verification requirements for restricted products.
Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is clean, attractive, and well-maintained.
Propane tank filling.
Manage retail math tasks such as inventory counts, pricing adjustments, and cash drawer balancing.
Handle U-Haul rentals by guiding customers through rental procedures, ensuring proper documentation, and promoting additional services.
Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and store policies at all times.
· Process rental reservations, dispatches, returns, payments, and required paperwork accurately.
Inspect rental vehicles and equipment and document conditions in accordance with company procedures
Hook up and disconnect trailers and other towing equipment safely and properly.
·Move, park, and position rental vehicles, trailers, and equipment as needed.
Skills
Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations for smooth retail transactions.
Previous supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings.
Strong communication skills to effectively assist customers and collaborate with team members.
Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases better.
Excellent customer service skills combined with phone etiquette for remote assistance.
Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a friendly approach.
Knowledge of retail store product placement, merchandising techniques, and inventory management.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing registers.
Experience in retail sales environments with a focus on retail math and cash handling procedures.
