A large, complex banking organization is seeking a
Compliance Data Specialist to support its Compliance function through the development of robust data, reporting, and automation solutions. This role will focus heavily on the
Microsoft Power Platform, with particular emphasis on
Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps, enabling data?driven oversight, monitoring, and regulatory reporting across the Compliance organization.
The successful candidate will partner closely with Compliance, Risk, and Technology stakeholders to improve data quality, enhance transparency, and streamline compliance processes through scalable reporting and automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support Compliance Monitoring & Testing, regulatory reporting, and senior management oversight.
- Develop and enhance Power Automate workflows to streamline compliance processes, reduce manual effort, and improve control execution.
- Build and support Power Apps (canvas and/or model?driven) to facilitate data capture, issue tracking, and compliance workflows.
- Support data aggregation, transformation, and validation across multiple source systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and auditability of compliance data.
- Partner with Compliance stakeholders to translate regulatory and business requirements into effective data and reporting solutions.
- Implement appropriate data governance, access controls, and data?loss?prevention (DLP) standards within the Power Platform environment.
- Support ongoing enhancements to Compliance data infrastructure, including documentation, controls, and reporting standards.
- Assist with ad?hoc regulatory requests, internal audits, and examinations by producing timely and accurate data and analysis.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in a Compliance, Risk, or Control environment within a large financial institution or regulated organization.
- Strong hands?on expertise with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard development.
- Practical experience building workflows using Power Automate and applications using Power Apps.
- Experience working with structured data sources (e.g., SQL, SharePoint, Dataverse, Excel).
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and data integrity.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non?technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting Compliance Monitoring & Testing, regulatory reporting, or risk analytics functions.
- Familiarity with wholesale banking or capital markets products and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience implementing Power Platform governance, security, and environment management.
- Exposure to additional analytics or data tools (e.g., SQL, Alteryx, Tableau) is a plus.
