Description
Seeking a Hardware Developer to design, develop, test, and deliver hardware used in IBM Cognitive Systems. The role spans mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineering, ensuring components meet functional and RAS (reliability, availability, serviceability) requirements and are ready for system integration.
Responsibilities
- Develop hardware using functional specs and high‑level design documents.
- Perform unit testing and support system‑level integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects with verification teams.
- Validate functional and RAS characteristics.
- Support customer environments and issue resolution.
- Collaborate across IBM and with external suppliers/vendors.
CAD Specialization
Applies deep expertise in Computer Aided Design to create, modify, analyze, and optimize engineering designs, improving accuracy, efficiency, and development cycle time.
Qualifications
- Background in mechanical, electrical, or firmware engineering.
- Experience in hardware development and testing.
