Key Responsibilities
Architect & Build: Design, optimize, and maintain biomolecular force fields, advanced parameterization strategies, and molecular dynamics simulation tools driving proprietary research models and drug discovery pipelines.
Data & Research Execution: Translate complex molecular datasets, quantum mechanical calculations, and abstract physics challenges into clear, scalable, high-performance computational frameworks.
Systemic Optimization: Identify technical friction points in parameterization and force field validation, eliminate bottlenecks, and enhance operational velocity across specialized supercomputing environments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key technical interface, working directly with computational chemists, biophysicists, machine learning researchers, and leadership to advance internal and collaborative drug discovery programs.
What You Bring
Academic Pedigree: Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Physics, Computational Chemistry, Biophysics, or a related STEM discipline.
Technical Mastery: Strong command of core technical concepts and tools such as Physics-Based Force Fields, Machine Learning, Molecular Dynamics Simulation, Ligand Parameterization, Force Field Validation, Parameterization Strategies.
Analytical Precision: Proven track record of research innovation and accomplishment in biophysics, computational chemistry, or high-performance scientific computing.
Agile Mindset: Ability to balance rigorous scientific standards with fast-paced, autonomous execution under pressure.
Compensation & Work Model
Base Salary Range: $260,000 – $400,000 (commensurate with background and experience), plus variable sign-on/year-end bonuses and comprehensive benefits including relocation and immigration assistance.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule (Tuesday–Thursday in-office in New York, NY; option to work remotely on Monday and Friday).
