Citadel Security USA is seeking a professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in Montrose, Colorado. This position supports a professional business environment where security personnel play an important role in maintaining safety, assisting staff and visitors, and responding to a variety of situations throughout the property.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast paced setting, interacting with staff and professionals, and remaining calm during emergencies or challenging situations.

Schedule - Sunday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Monday: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Wednesday: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Primary Responsibilities Facility Security & Patrol - Conduct frequent patrols throughout property buildings and surrounding grounds
- Monitor parking lots, entrances, exits, and restricted areas
- Perform security inspections to identify potential safety concerns
- Lock and unlock designated doors according to site procedures
- Protect sensitive locations and controlled-access areas
Surveillance & Monitoring - Observe CCTV systems and security monitoring equipment
- Investigate unusual activity or security concerns identified through surveillance systems
- Monitor facility conditions and report security-related issues promptly
- Respond to alarms and facility emergency notifications
Patient & Visitor Support - Provide escorts for staff and visitors when requested
- Assist property personnel during watch assignments
- Deliver professional customer service while maintaining security awareness
- Interact respectfully with visitors, contractors, and staff
Incident Response - Respond to disturbances, safety concerns, and emergency situations
- Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to help resolve conflicts
- Assist with managing disruptive, agitated, or emotionally distressed individuals
- Coordinate with personnel and emergency responders when necessary
- Maintain professionalism during high-pressure situations
Mobile & Off-Site Security Duties - Drive to designated off-site facilities to conduct security checks
- Perform patrol inspections of remote buildings and properties
- Maintain communication with supervisors regarding patrol status and findings
Documentation & Reporting - Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation
- Record observations accurately and in a timely manner
- Document security events, investigations, and response actions
- Maintain detailed records in accordance with site and company requirements
Minimum Qualifications - Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Driver's License required
- Ability to pass applicable background screening requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout assigned shifts
- Professional demeanor and dependable attendance
- Ability to walk extensively throughout large healthcare facilities
Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience in military service, law enforcement, or related fields
- Customer service experience in a public-facing environment
- Experience monitoring CCTV systems and access control technology
- Familiarity with incident reporting and documentation procedures
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
Work Environment - Combination of indoor and outdoor patrol responsibilities
- Regular walking throughout property buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds
- Occasional travel to off-site properties
- Fast-paced environment requires strong situational awareness and sound judgment
