Hogan CIS Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Hogan development tasks related to the customer’s Hogan IDS application, including customization and maintenance.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to design, develop, and implement enhancements in Hogan CIS.
• Review, update, and maintain technical design documents to ensure alignment with project requirements and system architecture.
• Develop, test, and deploy code changes following established coding standards and best practices.
• Conduct unit testing and support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and other advanced testing phases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, and production incidents in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA teams, and system architects to ensure successful delivery.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide ongoing production support and ensure system stability and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and internal policies.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Hogan CIS development within a Hogan-based banking environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Hogan IDS architecture and modules.
• Experience working in core banking systems and financial services domain.
• Proficiency in mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
• Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and production support.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

• Experience with other Hogan applications/modules (e.g., Deposits, Loans, Customer Information System extensions).
• Familiarity with integration of Hogan systems with external applications and APIs.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of banking operations and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Hogan CIS development or related core banking platforms.
