Google Cloud Platform Devops Engineer-Hybrid Role

Role: Sr. Google Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer

Location: Issaquah, WA (3 days a week onsite, locals only)

Duration: 12+ Months

Must have:

• 10 + Years of exp in DevOps Engineer
• 4 + Years of Exp in Google Cloud Platform
• 4+ Years of exp in Terraform for IaC and Python for automation

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform across Google Cloud Platform and other cloud platforms.
• Lead on-prem to cloud migration initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Python and other scripting languages.
• Manage container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) for scalable application deployment.
• Implement and enforce IAM policies, security best practices, and compliance standards.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources.
• Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to ensure seamless delivery across time zones.
• Support multiple applications in a multi-cloud environment (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
• Troubleshoot firewall and networking issues by working closely with infrastructure, security, and networking teams.
• Integrate and support AI/ML workflows, including model deployment, data pipelines, and resource scaling.
• Document processes, configurations, and architectural decisions.

Requirements:

• 5 10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
• Proficiency in Terraform for IaC and Python for automation.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of IAM, networking, and cloud security principles.
• Proven track record in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
• Experience in multi-cloud environments and on-prem to cloud migration.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exposure to AI/ML tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Vertex AI, or Kubeflow.

• Containers: Docker, Kubernetes
• Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack

• Collaboration: Jira, Confluence, Slack, Microsoft Teams

Nice to Have:

• Certifications in Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd).
• Exposure to retail or enterprise-scale applications.

 In compliance with the salary transparency law, the expected pay range for this role is $40-50.00/hr. Actual compensation depends on experience and interview evaluation.
