DevOps Engineer - Contract (Hybrid | New Albany, OH)6-Month Engagement | Onsite Tuesday-Thursday
About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to help drive the next generation of our build, deployment, and infrastructure automation. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate operational workflows, and ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our production environments.
You'll work closely with development teams to streamline application delivery, strengthen platform stability, and champion best practices across security, performance, and automation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, improving systems end-to-end, and building infrastructure that supports high-quality, fast, and secure software delivery.
What You'll DoCI/CD & Automation- Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to accelerate development and deployment cycles
- Automate build, test, and release workflows across multiple environments
- Introduce tooling and process improvements to reduce manual effort and increase deployment reliability
Infrastructure Engineering- Design, deploy, and support infrastructure that enables scalable and secure application delivery
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Improve system reliability through automation, monitoring, and proactive optimization
Cloud & Containerization- Manage and configure cloud services across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Deploy, maintain, and scale applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Troubleshoot issues across containerized and distributed environments
Monitoring, Reliability & Troubleshooting- Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Datadog, ELK, etc.)
- Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure system uptime
- Drive improvements in performance, reliability, and observability
Security & Configuration Management- Apply DevSecOps practices across pipelines, access controls, and secrets management
- Work with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) to standardize environments and enable repeatable deployments
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement- Partner with development, QA, and product teams to streamline delivery pipelines
- Advocate for DevOps best practices and operational excellence across teams
- Contribute to documentation, process enhancements, and knowledge sharing
Skills & Experience We're Looking ForCore Skills- CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
- Infrastructure engineering and IaC
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Docker containerization
- Kubernetes orchestration
- Monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting in production environments
Preferred Technical Experience- Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps
- Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting
- Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog, etc.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, IAM, or secrets management (Vault, etc.)
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of New Albany, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
