Summary

Title: Machinist

Location: Houston, TX (Rankin Road)

Machinist to support precision manufacturing operations at our Houston (Rankin Road) facility. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience operating turning and milling machines, with the ability to set up and run equipment independently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

5–8 years of experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing or job shop environment
Proven experience operating turning and milling machines
Strong knowledge of machine setup and machining processes
Ability to operate manual machines when required
Excellent understanding of blueprints, tolerances, and GD&T
Proficiency with precision measuring tools
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and workmanship

Key Responsibilities

Operate turning and milling machines to manufacture precision components
Work with Mazak Mazatrol and Hurco WinMax controls (experience preferred)
Operate manual machines (lathe, mill, etc.) as required
Perform machine setup including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and program verification with minimal supervision
Interpret and work from engineering drawings and blueprints, including Dimensional tolerances and GD&T symbols and callouts
Conduct in‑process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments
Ensure components meet quality, accuracy, and specification requirements
Follow all safety, quality, and standard operating procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area
