Job Description

SOSi is currently seeking an Application Systems Analyst V to join our team in Charleston, SC. The Application Systems Analyst will possess strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and enhancement of our customer's application systems.

Essential Job Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing application systems to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and automation.
  • Provide ongoing support for application systems, including troubleshooting issues, performing diagnostics, and implementing solutions.
  • Collaborate with business units to gather and document system requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of business needs and objectives.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate new systems and applications seamlessly into the existing infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system specifications, process flows, and user guides.
  • Lead and participate in various IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Perform rigorous testing and validation of application systems to ensure functionality, performance, and security.
  • Provide training to end-users and technical support teams to ensure they are proficient in using the application systems.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring that service level agreements are met.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovative solutions for application systems.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; OR equivalent experience.
  • The ability to obtain and retain an active SECRET security clearance is required for this position.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in application system analysis or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing IT projects, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and technological advancements.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems and CRM applications is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Analyst (CISA) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are desirable.
  • An active Top Secret clearance.

Work Environment
  • Work is typically performed in an office environment.
  • Onsite 5 days a week in Charleston, SC.
  • The position requires the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support system upgrades or resolve critical issues.
