SAP QA Test Lead

| This role serves as the SAP QA Lead, responsible for driving quality assurance across FS-CD, FS-RI, SAP Business Partner (BP), Workflow, and FI-GL modules. The position oversees a blended onshore/offshore team and advances test automation strategies to improve speed, coverage, and reliability. Ideal candidates bring deep SAP module expertise and Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain knowledge, translating business requirements into risk-based QA approaches. Key priorities include expanding automation frameworks, establishing measurable QA standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to align testing with end-to-end processes and integrations (including Guidewire and other upstream systems). Although this is a lead role, hands-on involvement is expected to meet delivery commitments within a small-team environment. |
Lead with strong expertise in Tricentis Tosca and SAP automation to lead end-to-end test automation strategy, execution, and governance across SAP landscapes (ECC/S4HANA). The candidate will drive automation excellence, manage QA teams, and ensure high-quality releases across large-scale SAP transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Test Strategy & Leadership
- Define and implement enterprise-level QA and automation strategy for SAP programs.
- Lead automation roadmap using Tricentis Tosca.
- Drive risk-based and model-based testing approach.
- Provide governance for monthly releases, multi-country rollouts, and integration programs.
- Mentor and manage automation engineers and offshore/onshore teams.
2. SAP Automation
- Automate SAP business processes across modules such as:
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC environments.
- Automate SAP GUI, Fiori, and API-based integrations.
- Handle SAP T Codes automation and custom Z-transactions.
- Experience in SAP regression suite stabilization.
3. Tosca Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Model-Based Test Automation
- TestCase Design (TCD)
- Reusable modules and libraries
- Test data management
- API testing
- Distributed Execution (DEX)
- Experience integrating Tosca with:
- CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / Jenkins)
- ALM tools (qTest / Jira)
- Implement automation for integration testing (EDI, Salesforce, MES systems, etc.).
4. Integration & E2E Testing
- Lead end-to-end integration validation between:
- SAP and satellite systems (e.g., Salesforce, MES, third-party EDI partners).
- Drive test data strategy for frequently changing master data.
- Ensure automation stability in dynamic SAP environments.
5. Governance & Reporting
- Define KPIs for automation effectiveness:
- Automation coverage
- Defect leakage
- Execution stability
- ROI
- Provide test metrics dashboards to stakeholders.
- Lead defect triage meetings and release sign-offs.
6. AI & Innovation (Preferred)
- Experience using AI-driven accelerators for:
- Impact analysis
- Test case generation
- Defect prediction
- Exposure to intelligent test automation tools and analytics.
Required Skills
- 10+ years in QA with 5+ years in Tosca automation.
- 10+ years of SAP QA Manager or Lead experience in FSCD, FS-RI, SAP BP, Workflow, and FiGL modules.
- Strong knowledge of SAP business processes.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
- Experience managing large regression suites (500+ test cases).
- Strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience in Agile & DevOps environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tosca product consultant certification.
- SAP functional knowledge.
- Knowledge of synthetic test data strategies.
