Junior program manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a Junior Program Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple projects and initiatives across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working with stakeholders to track deliverables, identify risks, and ensure programs stay on schedule.

This is a hands-on role for someone looking to grow their career in program and project management while working closely with senior program managers, project teams, business stakeholders, technology teams, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Coordination

• Support the planning and execution of projects and programs from initiation through completion.
• Maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Track progress against timelines, scope, and objectives.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, document decisions, and track action items.
• Follow up with project owners to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Maintain program documentation, project trackers, status reports, and dashboards.

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, IT, Operations, Finance, HR, and Business teams.
• Support communication between project teams and business stakeholders.
• Prepare regular project and program status updates for stakeholders and leadership.
• Escalate risks, blockers, and issues to senior program/project managers when appropriate.
• Build strong working relationships across teams and functions.

Risk, Issue & Dependency Management

• Track project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions.
• Maintain RAID logs and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
• Identify potential schedule or delivery risks and communicate them proactively.
• Support mitigation and contingency planning.
• Help resolve project blockers by coordinating with appropriate teams.

Reporting & Analytics

• Prepare weekly and monthly program status reports.
• Track milestones, deliverables, KPIs, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Maintain dashboards and management reports.
• Analyze project data to identify schedule, resource, or delivery trends.
• Provide accurate and timely information to program leadership.

Process & Program Improvement

• Support implementation of program management processes and standards.
• Help improve project tracking, reporting, documentation, and communication processes.
• Maintain templates, project documentation, and reusable program management materials.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and execution.

Tools & Documentation

• Use tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms to manage projects and tasks.
• Use Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint for reporting, analysis, and presentations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure information is easily accessible to stakeholders.
