Job Title: Business Analyst Fund Operations Migration (Private Equity)

Job Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and documentation for the migration of fund operations to a third-party administrator
• Develop detailed and structured documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Create and manage JIRA artifacts (Epics, Stories, Tasks) to ensure requirements are clearly defined and actionable
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to understand deployment processes, prioritize work, and meet project timelines
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand workflows, processes, and data requirements, and translate them into clear deliverables
• Support data migration efforts, including source-to-target data mapping and validation
• Document meeting discussions and convert them into actionable items, trackers, and follow-ups
• Prepare presentations and provide clear status updates to leadership and stakeholders
• Track and manage open items across multiple teams in a fast-paced, high-visibility project
• Coordinate reconciliation activities between legacy systems and target platforms during migration

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, Private Equity, or alternative investments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to create presentations, draft professional communications, and interact with stakeholders at all levels
• Experience working closely with development and QA teams to support delivery and meet deadlines
• Ability to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and define detailed functional specifications
• Hands-on experience creating and managing JIRA tickets with clear and complete requirements
• Experience working in high-pressure environments with tight timelines and cross-functional teams
• Strong experience in data migration and mapping, including data profiling and reconciliation
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, identify gaps, and resolve issues proactively
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Willingness to work onsite in Manhattan several days per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with a Private Equity firm, hedge fund, or alternative investment manager
• Understanding of fund structures, fund accounting, capital calls, NAV calculations, and investor reporting
• Experience with fund administration transitions or system-to-administrator migrations
• Knowledge of back-office fund operations and reconciliation processes
• Experience with SQL or BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau for data analysis and reporting
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and accountability
