Role Overview
You ll join the Enterprise Support Infrastructure Engineering team, responsible for delivering secure, resilient, enterprise-class cloud hosting for internal business applications. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining AWS cloud environments while enabling automation, infrastructure-as-code, and containerized deployments. This is a net-new addition to the team.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, build, run, monitor, and manage cloud infrastructure
Write Terraform IaC to install custom applications, AWS services, and COTS tools and deploy with Github
Set up, deploy, and maintain AWS environments
Containerize code and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) tools
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab for automated installs and rehydration
Deploy "black box" software packages into AWS environments
Support vulnerability management and cloud governance processes
Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on expertise with Terraform IaC (writing, maintaining, troubleshooting)
Advanced experience building/troubleshooting GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Strong AWS infrastructure knowledge, including:
Lambda, S3, SNS, EC2, RDS (Postgres), SQL-RDS, ECS/Fargate
VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, ALB/ELB
CloudWatch, Grafana, Route53, DNS, EFS
Solid understanding of AWS IAM, Okta, encryption, certificates, and key management
Experience with containerized middleware (NGINX, JBoss, Tomcat, Corretto)
Familiarity with DevSecOps, Agile/Scrum, JIRA
Nice to Have: Databricks, Starburst, Glue, EKS, AWS Multi-AZ / Multi-Region
Education: Bachelor s Degree preferred; AWS certifications strongly preferred
