· Why is this position open: New Position. The SCDMV is in the process of migrating 300+ SQL Server Databases from SQL Server 2019 to SQL Server 2022 in addition to a need for Production Support in the current SQL DBA Team.
· Will close to submissions on March 3rd, 2026, 5:00PM EST.
· Interview Process: One Round - Virtual (Camera On Teams Meeting) or In Person. In Person highly preferred.
· Duration of the Contract: 12 Months; Possibility for Extension: Yes
· Work Location: Position is Hybrid, however remote capability is very limited, and the candidate should expect to be onsite five days a week. Remote days are based off project needs and DMV discretion.
· Candidate location: Resources must be local to South Carolina. The hiring manager is open to resources local to North Carolina if they will commute to Columbia, SC 5 days/week.
· Work Schedule: Weekend Hours and On Call Rotation is to be expected for project needs per the discretion of the DMV.
Required Skills
· 5+ Years of Experience with SQL Server 2019 AND 2022
· 5+ Years of Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services
· 5+ Years of Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services
· 5+ Years of Experience with SQL Reports Designer
· 5+ Years of Experience with BI Tools and Design
· 5+ Years of Experience as an SQL Database Administrator
· 2+ Years of Experience working with State Government Agencies
Preferred Skills
· Data Domain Boost (DD Boost) to support backup and restore operations for SQL Servers
· Experience with Oracle 19 Database Operations
· Experience with Oracle Grid Control
Experience with Erwin Data Modeler
