Role Overview
We are seeking a SWIFT Technologist to join our Swift Development Team. This individual will be responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to achieve business goals. The role involves ensuring that SWIFT-provided software is installed, configured, and supported to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance standards. A strong knowledge of the services provided by the SWIFT network is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to story refinement and the definition of requirements.
- Participate in and guide the team in estimating the work necessary to realize a story or requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
- Perform proofs of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
- Implement solutions and perform unit testing to deliver requirements according to defined acceptance criteria.
- Contribute to existing test suites, including integration, regression, and performance tests.
- Analyze test reports, identify any issues or errors, and triage the underlying cause.
- Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 5-10 years of experience in the technology industry.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in installing patches, maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing SWIFT products, including SWIFT Alliance Gateway, SWIFT Alliance Access, SWIFT Web Platform, and SWIFT Net Link.
- 3+ years of experience with applications running on AIX or Linux operating systems.
- 3+ years of experience managing the completion of application-related documentation to meet risk, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- 1+ years of experience with Agile project delivery.
Technical Skills:- Proficiency with SWIFT, Python, and Core Java.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all SWIFT messaging formats and protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Alliance Messaging Hub.
- A solid understanding of the SDLC lifecycle.
- Experience with SWIFT Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
- Experience with infrastructure upgrade or replacement projects.
- Knowledge of ISO 20022 payment format.
- Knowledge of emerging payment systems such as US RTP, SEPA Instant, or FedNow.
