Python Developer – Infrastructure Automation – Remote (Occasional Commute)
We’re looking for a strong Python developer who has hands-on experience automating infrastructure and working closely with cloud and DevOps teams. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and improving infrastructure automation using Python and Infrastructure as Code practices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automation scripts and services
· Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code tools
· Work closely with DevOps, SRE, and platform teams to improve reliability and scalability
· Support CI/CD pipelines related to infrastructure and application deployments
· Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation workflows
· Contribute to improving infrastructure standards, security, and best practices
Required Skills & Experience:
· 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python development
· 2–3 years of experience in infrastructure automation
· Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts
· Experience with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
· Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
· Solid understanding of Linux, networking, and system fundamentals
· Experience working in DevOps or platform engineering environments
Nice to Have
· Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
· Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
· Understanding of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
· Scripting beyond Python (Bash, Shell)
Location – Bogota, Colombia preferred but other locations are OK.
Duration – 12 Months
