A bit about us:

A growing manufacturing company in Grandview, MO is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to lead programming and machining initiatives within a fast-paced production environment. This individual will develop new CNC programs, design tooling, improve machining processes, and serve as the subject matter expert for metal machining operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer who enjoys being hands-on, improving machining processes, and serving as a technical leader within a growing manufacturing operation.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs for new and existing products
Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment
Program multiple machine platforms, including horizontal mills, vertical mills, and sub-spindle lathes
Design tooling, fixtures, and efficient machining processes
Read and interpret engineering drawings and 2D and 3D models
Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and production issues
Improve cycle times, equipment effectiveness, quality, and operational efficiency
Lead machining initiatives and provide technical guidance to team members
Support continuous improvement projects throughout the operation
Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and on-time production

Qualifications:

Extensive experience with CNC programming, setup, and machine operation
Strong knowledge of machine shop practices and metal machining processes
Experience programming horizontal mills, vertical mills, and sub-spindle lathes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and 2D and 3D models
Experience designing tooling and developing machining processes
Previous leadership experience with the ability to guide individuals and teams
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to recommend and implement positive changes
Positive attitude and ability to succeed in a fast-paced shop-floor environment
