Senior Java / J2EE Engineer (with AI Integration)

Key Technical Skills Required

To be successful in this position, your background must include:

• Core Development: 5+ years of J2EE application development across front-end, back-end, and middle-tier components.
• Frameworks: 2+ years of hands-on experience with both Spring and Struts modules.
• Web Services: 3+ years creating and consuming web services, including top-down and bottom-up implementation with JAX-WS.
• Infrastructure: 5+ years of extensive knowledge of web and application servers (JBoss, Apache, F5 load balancers).
• Data & Middleware: 3+ years working with third-party middleware tools and 2+ years of Oracle SQL experience.

Desired (Bonus) Skills

• Solid working knowledge of Linux O/S, Shell scripting, or Groovy.
• Experience with automated builds and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Subversion source control).
• Prior experience with welfare eligibility case management systems.

• AI Code Acceleration: Evaluate and lead the use of AI/ML tools to shorten development cycles and automate testing.
• Agentic AI Exploration: Help design and implement a 24/7 agentic-AI code development solution, shifting routine code creation to AI while you ensure it is fit-for-purpose and architecturally sound.
• Workflow Automation: Build guided workflows to reduce manual business process documentation reviews.
