Senior BMC Remedy Developer to support and enhance a highly customized Remedy based application used as a 24x7 Tier 1 contact center platform supporting state Medicaid programs.
This is not a traditional ITSM or out-of-the-box Remedy role.
The application has been heavily customized over many years and uses Remedy as the foundation for mission-critical business workflows well beyond standard Incident, Change, Asset, or Service Management functionality. Candidates whose Remedy experience is primarily configuration, administration, or implementation of standard ITSM modules are unlikely to be successful in this environment.
The strongest candidate will be a hands-on developer who can enter a mature, inherited codebase, understand the intent behind existing Remedy workflows and database logic, troubleshoot production issues, and safely extend functionality across Remedy, Oracle, scripting, and integration layers.
The ability to read, understand, and reason through existing logic is one of the most important requirements for this role.

This platform supports Medicaid contact center operations and is considered an access-to-care critical system. It operates 24x7, and production outages can affect members' ability to access medication while also creating contractual and operational risk for Prime.
The environment includes a mature, highly customized codebase that has been built and evolved over decades by a small, experienced development team. Documentation may not always fully explain why existing logic was implemented a particular way, making strong technical reasoning and code comprehension essential.
