Must haves are vulnerability management, operational technology, and security tools. Position Summary
We are seeking a highly capable engineer with strong experience in networking, secure remote access technologies, and vulnerability management to support secure operations across enterprise and operational technology (OT) environments. This role focuses on deploying and enabling secure access solutions and vulnerability management capabilities, while partnering with system and network owners to drive secure configuration and remediation.
Key Responsibilities
Network & Infrastructure Security
- Support secure network architecture by providing guidance to system and network owners
- Analyze network traffic flows, ports, and protocols to inform segmentation and security decisions
- Identify security gaps and recommend improvements aligned to operational constraints
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues related to secure access deployments and integrations
Remote Access & Secure Connectivity
- Install and configure secure remote access solutions on management servers and process control network (PCN) systems
- Enable and validate secure connectivity models for internal users and third-party vendors
- Collaborate with firewall and system owners to inform required rule changes, port usage, and access paths
- Ensure remote access solutions are properly authenticated, encrypted, monitored, and logged
- Support rollout of remote access standards across multiple sites with minimal operational disruption
Vulnerability Management
- Support vulnerability assessments across network, server, and OT assets
- Analyze vulnerability findings and aid in remediation or mitigation actions
- Coordinate with asset and system owners to implement fixes
- Track vulnerabilities through full lifecycle (identify → assess → remediate/mitigate → validate closure)
- Support development of standardized workflows and reporting for vulnerability management
- Manage run and maintain activities for asset inventory tool, ensuring collection and data transfer scripts run as expected, with investigation into failures as necessary.
Security Engineering & Integration
- Deploy and integrate cybersecurity tools into OT and hybrid environments
- Support system-level integrations and onboarding of new sites or assets
- Develop and document installation procedures, configuration standards, and operational guidance
Collaboration & Program Support
- Partner with site engineers, system owners, and network teams to implement secure solutions
- Act as a technical liaison between cybersecurity and operations teams
- Support multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Provide practical, implementation-focused guidance that balances security and uptime requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in networking, cybersecurity, or infrastructure engineering
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and segmentation concepts
- Experience with secure remote access technologies
- Familiarity with vulnerability management and remediation processes
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or OT environments is preferred
- Ability to communicate technical requirements clearly to asset owners
