Technical Program Manager - Data Center & GPU experience mandatory
What You’ll Do
Manage data center build-out and expansion projects from kickoff through completion and operational handoff.
Build and maintain project plans, milestones, schedules, budgets, action logs, decision logs, and risk trackers.
Coordinate internal teams and external partners including colocation providers, general contractors, electricians, mechanical contractors, network carriers, hardware vendors, and equipment installers.
Support site readiness activities including space planning, rack layouts, power availability, cooling, cabling, equipment delivery, installation, connectivity, and access requirements.
Coordinate deployment of servers, storage, network equipment, GPU systems, and supporting infrastructure.
Track procurement, hardware lead times, vendor commitments, delivery dates, installation schedules, and outstanding dependencies.
Manage recurring project meetings, document actions and decisions, and follow up to ensure commitments are completed.
Visit project sites as needed to monitor progress, coordinate with vendors, identify issues, and support resolution.
Work with technical leads to ensure build-outs meet agreed requirements for capacity, redundancy, power, network connectivity, security, and operational readiness.
Coordinate acceptance testing, commissioning, punch-list completion, documentation, and transition to operations or managed services.
Provide concise status updates to leadership and customers, clearly highlighting progress, risks, decisions needed, budget status, and next steps.
Help establish repeatable checklists, templates, and delivery processes as the company expands its data center and AI infrastructure footprint.
Required Experience
12 years of experience in project management, implementation, infrastructure operations, facilities coordination, construction coordination, cloud delivery, telecom, managed services, or enterprise IT.
Experience managing vendors, contractors, equipment providers, customers, or internal technical teams.
Experience coordinating projects involving some combination of data center facilities, hardware, networking, cloud, systems, power, cabling, telecommunications, or security infrastructure.
Strong ability to create project plans, track tasks and dependencies, manage timelines, document decisions, and drive follow-through.
Comfortable working with technical teams and understanding high-level infrastructure concepts such as servers, racks, network connectivity, power, cooling, storage, security, and cloud services.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including concise executive and customer status updates.
Organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing several active workstreams.
Willingness to travel locally or nationally to data center sites when required
