Data Product Manager (Contract) — State Government, Twin Cities MN (Hybrid)

Integration Architects is hiring a Data Product Manager for a contract engagement with a Minnesota state government client. This is a chance to own the strategy and roadmap for data products that directly support human services programs, working alongside data engineering, data science, and enterprise architecture teams.

What you'll do

You'll define the vision and roadmap for data platforms, analytics tools, and ML infrastructure, then drive those products through the full lifecycle from requirements to launch and iteration. You'll be the primary liaison between technical teams and business partners, translating business needs into data transformations, metadata, and domain rules, and translating technical concepts back into plain language for leadership. You'll set success metrics, partner with analytics teams on dashboards and KPIs, and make sure everything meets governance, privacy, and data quality standards. Knowledge transfer to state staff is part of the job.

What we're looking for

• 4 to 7 years in data management, data analytics, data engineering, or a related field
• Significant hands-on experience with Databricks (this is a hard requirement, please don't apply without it)
• Strong grounding in data systems: pipelines, ETL, warehousing, modeling, metadata, governance
• SQL proficiency and working familiarity with Python and Java
• Experience with analytics tools such as dbt, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
• Product leadership experience and comfort working in ambiguity
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience navigating data sharing agreements in large organizations
• Experience in a regulated industry performing statistical analysis and reporting is a strong plus
• Background building internal platforms or modernizing data architecture is a strong plus

Details

• Contract, 12 months, with possibility of extension
• 90-95% remote, small amount of onsite work in St. Paul, MN
• Rate: $80-$90 W2 or 1099
• Must be authorized to work in the US. No third-party or C2C submissions.
