Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the property and casualty insurance industry, is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst II. The role centers on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights, supporting reporting needs, and ensuring high-quality data outputs across the business.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys turning ambiguous business questions into structured, data-driven answers. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, lead discussions to define reporting needs, and play a key role in shaping how data is used across underwriting, product, and operational functions.

This is a hybrid position in Webster MA.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation
  • 4-6 years of experience working with data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence
  • Experience working with large datasets and translating findings into business insights
  • Ability to gather and document business requirements clearly
  • Background in data validation, quality assurance, and governance best practices
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
  • Familiarity with SAS or other statistical tools
  • Experience within insurance, underwriting, product, or related domains
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to make data-driven recommendations
  • Experience supporting ad hoc reporting and exploratory data analysis

  • 20% Reporting & Visualization
  • 10% Data Quality & Governance

Daily Responsibilities
  • 60% Hands-On Data Work (analysis, dataset creation, querying)
  • 20% Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirements Gathering
  • 20% Reporting, Insights, and Recommendations
