Role Overview
Join a premier government contracting leader specializing in Enterprise Security and Cloud Computing. We are seeking a mission-oriented Software Engineer to support a high-priority, fast-paced national security program. You will join an elite Agile team utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and DevOps best practices to integrate cutting-edge technology into critical operational systems.
This is a 100% onsite role in Annapolis offering the chance to work on high-impact projects with a company that has been a staple in the industry since 1996.
Primary Responsibilities
Agile Development: Actively participate in Program Increment (PI) planning and sprint cycles within a SAFe environment.
System Engineering: Analyze complex requirements to design and implement efficient, reliable, and fault-tolerant code using sound engineering principles.
Automation & Testing: Author, tune, and document automation scripts; utilize Behavior Driven Development (BDD) to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Full Lifecycle Support: Manage software processes from initial coding through deployment to test and production environments.
Collaboration: Promote code reusability by developing shared functions and contributing to cross-program technical initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly (Must be willing to sit for a Full Scope Polygraph).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
Technical Core: Professional proficiency in Java is mandatory.
Environment: Experience developing on Windows and/or Linux platforms.
Tooling Familiarity: Exposure to a combination of the following: Python, C/C++, SQL, SOAP, Jenkins, Postgres, Oracle, or PowerShell.
Web/UI: Knowledge of User Interface development, including XHTML, HTML, XML, or XSLT.
Soft Skills: Strong independent thinking, excellent verbal/written communication, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Preferred Skills
Frameworks: J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, and application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, or JBoss).
Agile Excellence: Experience with BDD/TDD, Pair Programming, and Refactoring.
Testing Tools: Familiarity with Cucumber, Selenium, Mockito, FitNesse, or UFT.
Secure Engineering: Experience with Layer 7 Policy or secure software development practices.
Certifications: SAFe Agilist certification or prior experience in a SAFe-guided program.

Salary Range: Highly-competative Base
