Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced ArgoCD and Red Hat OpenShift Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise Kubernetes platforms and GitOps-based deployment solutions. This individual will lead the architecture and implementation of automated application delivery pipelines, platform configuration management, and cloud-native deployment strategies across enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Argo CD, and GitOps principles with the ability to guide technical teams, establish architectural standards, and deliver secure, scalable, and highly available solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Architecture: Design and implement enterprise-grade Red Hat OpenShift architectures, including cluster configuration, networking, security, storage, and high availability.
  • GitOps Implementation: Architect and deploy Argo CD solutions for continuous delivery, declarative configuration management, and automated synchronization of Kubernetes resources.
  • Application Deployment: Establish standardized deployment patterns using Helm, Kustomize, Kubernetes manifests, and Git-based workflows.
  • Automation & Integration: Integrate Argo CD with CI/CD pipelines, source control platforms, container registries, and enterprise automation tooling.
  • Multi-Cluster Management: Design GitOps strategies for managing applications, configurations, and policies across multiple OpenShift clusters and environments.
  • Security & Governance: Implement role-based access control (RBAC), secrets management, policy enforcement, image security, and compliance controls.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, and platform lifecycle management practices.
  • Architecture Leadership: Develop reference architectures, technical standards, implementation roadmaps, and architecture documentation.
  • Technical Mentorship: Guide engineering and DevOps teams on Kubernetes, GitOps, platform engineering, and operational best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience architecting and implementing Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
  • Deep expertise with Argo CD, GitOps principles, application synchronization, and declarative infrastructure management.
  • Experience with Helm, Kustomize, YAML, Kubernetes operators, and custom resources.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tooling and Git-based source control workflows.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, persistent storage, security, RBAC, and cluster operations.
  • Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Hat OpenShift certifications or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM) and OpenShift GitOps.
  • Familiarity with Ansible Automation Platform and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with public cloud, hybrid cloud, or on-premises Kubernetes deployments.
  • Knowledge of policy-as-code, secrets management, and enterprise compliance frameworks.
  • Experience establishing platform engineering standards and enabling application development teams.

Expected Deliverables:

  • OpenShift and Argo CD target architecture.
  • GitOps repository structure and branching strategy.
  • Automated application deployment and configuration management workflows.
  • Multi-cluster deployment and governance patterns.
  • Security, access control, and operational standards.
  • Implementation documentation, knowledge transfer, and team enablement.
